Jessica Best

Jessica Best is owner and strategist of BetterAve LLC. Though known as an email nerd now, Jessica started her career selling radio advertising, getting comfortable being VERY uncomfortable. She got lost more than she showed up on time for the first year of driving all over KC. She met new people every hour of the day. She asked and heard "no" a lot.

Then she was asked to get even MORE uncomfortable: a client of hers asked her to step into a role she had no experience in: direct marketing. After pointing that out and making a lot of caveats, she accepted a job where she would learn 3 whole new channels and the world of customer relationship marketing. From there, she found herself managing people, carrying out a merger of teams, and making all kinds of mistakes, in general.

The one thing Jessica is comfy with is the stage. In her role as data-driven marketing strategist first at emfluence , Barkley and now BetterAve LLC, she speaks in front of audiences from dozens to thousands, from Las Vegas to New York City, from Vancouver to Barcelona, and even SXSW Interactive in Austin.
