Angela Connelly KC IABC Lowell Award Winner

About Our Lowell Communicator of the Year, Angela Connelly

Angela has generously served the communications industry and KC IABC for many years. She is well-respected for her work ethic, leadership, and experience. A critical thinker, Angela has vision and provides strategic solutions for those she works with.

Angela has led marketing and communications for numerous, high-profile companies, including T-Mobile (previously Sprint), where she now focuses on customer loyalty and retention marketing. Her efforts have resulted in awards, including numerous IABC Quills. In fact, she led our chapter to yet another International Chapter of the Year win and an award for leadership excellence based on achievements under her time as president. A University of Missouri alum, she studied journalism and English at MU, and received her MBA from the UMKC Bloch School’s executive MBA program.

Angela gives back by volunteering her time to non-profits in our area. Angela has helped educate KC communicators by speaking at conferences and luncheons. She also serves as chair of UMKC’s Bloch School of Business Marketing Advisory Council, supporting marketing professors and students. Mentoring and helping students and young professionals as they embark on marketing communications careers is a passion of hers. Another related passion is connecting people through networking. Her goal with this event is to bring together colleagues from KCIABC, the UMKC Advisory Council, and her marketing/communication peers in Kansas City, to join forces in supporting aspiring future professionals.
